Forrest by day
> A windy day in Forrest did not stop the Flying Nabateans exploring the surrounds of Forrest airport. The Indian Pacific makes a special stop every Monday to deliver supplies. Toast and tea tastes different when you know it's been specially delivered by the Indian Pacific!

> A nice red around the camp fire followed by a lovely dinner on the verandah prepared my Greg and Kaye was a very pleasant finish to the day.

Kalgoorlie to Forrest with the wind at our back
The pilot and navigator had a breakfast weather consultation. For the first time the weather decided to play a part on this grand adventure. After some data searching and discussion we decided to fly on. The trip went as expected although no auto pilot was possible! We followed the Indian Pacific rail line and saw the train making its way west to Perth. With a healthy tail wind we arrived to a blistering windy day in Forrest - the wind was 48kph gusting to 63kph, fortunately most of this was straight down the runway. Our hosts Kate and Greg helped us to put Jabi to bed in a palatial private hangar and organised lunch for the Flying Nabateans.

Jabi takes us from Meeka to Kal
Just as well we found some of the longest airstrips in the world, because is anyone flying this plane? Aaaah autopilot is a beautiful thing.
